We are a group of concerned residents who strongly oppose any initiative that would open the door to HUNTING or any form of KILLING the urban deer or other wildlife that inhabits the City of Town and Country.
We believe in being Guardians of the diversified wildlife that call Town and Country their home and enabled our community to adopt and promote the banner ?Wildlife Corridor?.
We feel that Commitment, Patience, Tolerance, and the acceptance of new ideas are key ingredients in any approach to coexist peacefully with wildlife. Our goal is to guard against the effects of any unwanted behavior that results in the death of our urban deer. Rather than increase the death rate by Killing we support decreasing the Birth rate by Immunocontraception (PZP fertility control).
Residents are encouraged to become more knowledgeable. We all share the same neighborhoods and we have a responsibility to help reduce wildlife conflicts.
The purpose of this web site (urbandeer.info) is to ?Get the Real Facts? out and into your hands so that you can make an informed choice based on your values rather than accepting the KILL only solutions being offered.
As Guardians, we feel confident that a well informed community can and will go the extra step to find a better way to coexist peacefully with wildlife and protect it for the appreciation of future generations.
We, the people of Town and Country, take pride in our community, and expect commitment to quality in all governance and in the providing of municipal services. We aspire to kindle a spirit of leadership that will be admired by our residents and others.
